The domains’ proprietor, Jean Luc Thunevin, is a self-taught
professional who took part in the Bordeaux Aristocratic revival
of the 1990’s. For decades, Bordeaux’s greatest wines
were indignantly overlooked and his constant desire for perfection
provided a dynamic awakening of this regions’ products.
Today Valandraud is one of the most celebrated domains of the
Right Bank: a new cultural methodology, technical innovations
in vinification… His appreciation of a good challenge motivated
him to begin production on the finest kosher wines the world has
ever seen, a task has undoubtedly achieved. Praised by critics
(“the best kosher wine I have ever tasted” raves Robert
Parker), never before has the public encountered such a beautiful
kosher wine.
The sharing of a magical and unforgettable wine such as the
kosher Valandraud is an occasion that must be experienced at least
once in your lifetime.
The entire range of kosher Valandraud vintages from 2000 to 2005
is available in our cellars (contact us for their Mevushal versions).
August 1st 2007,
Italy’s undeniable viticultural tradition and historic
know-how made it impossible for us to forsake. We have selected
the Falesco domain, in the reins of Ricardo Cotarella –
Professor of Viticulture and Oenology – to represent this
country’s fine wines. Originating in Montefiascone (Lazio,
north of Rome) and subsequently moving to Umbria, this domain
is applauded for the remarkable quality of its award-winning wines
and also for its experimentation with indigenous varietals and
their adaptation to local soils.
Two prestigious cuvees have been manufactured by our teams :
- Cuvee Marciliano Kosher 2005 (IGT Umbria) fine blend of Cabernet
Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc
- Cuvee Ferentano Kosher 2005 (IGT Lazio) issuing from local varietal,
the Roescetto
While currently in the bottling stages, these cuvees will be available
from September/October 2007.
